Staff described a volunteer-led program (Love San Clemente, also referenced as Love to Serve San Clemente) that is returning to public-service projects and has offered to install murals and other beautification projects at city-owned sites. The committee approved a motion to appoint up to two committee members to serve as staff liaisons or appointees to the volunteer group's planning effort.
Samantha Webb said two candidate mural locations at the staff level were a small wall behind Bonita Canyon Baseball Field and the large blank wall behind the T Street concession stand. Webb described the volunteer group’s recent school-campus work and asked for two committee appointees to participate in planning and community painting events. "I would be looking for up to 2 committee members to help support, and kind of come alongside this volunteer body and be present," Webb said. The committee voted in favor by voice vote and the motion carried; staff will follow up with site coordination and tenant/stakeholder outreach.
