Denton authorizes NEWARN mutual-aid agreement for water and wastewater emergencies

Trustees authorized Ross Blackledge to sign a mutual-aid agreement with NEWARN intended to provide mutual assistance for water and wastewater operations during emergencies. According to the minutes, "The purpose of the agreement is to establish mutual aid for Water and Wastewater departments in case of an emergency in the form of personnel, equipment, and or materials," as explained by Blackledge.
The board approved the authorization on a motion by Trustee Trent Wheatley, seconded by Trustee Amanda Fangmeier; the motion carried. The board did not record any conditions or amendments to the agreement in the minutes; the clerk will retain the signed agreement in village records.
