Committee to solicit new consultants to recalculate growth projections and fees

The committee agreed to use an RFQ process to bring in engineering consultants to update growth projections, capital requirements and per-service-unit fee calculations. Chair Matt Keller said the city conducts that RFQ roughly every two years and wants firms to "tell us what your strengths are" so the committee can select based on demonstrated capacity.
Keller said he intends to avoid rehiring the prior firm for the update: "But specifically, I'm gonna avoid Kimley Horn," he said, adding the goal is to get "new eyes" and some accountability between consultants. Members agreed to invite one or more finalists to present scope and fee; the selected consultant(s) will return two meetings later with a recommended scope and fee for approval.
