Tracy Minor, a solutions engineer at US Bank, demonstrated Access Online and emphasized its five core functional areas, mobile app capabilities and integration options for program administrators.
"Access online consists of the 5 core functional areas that you see in front of you," Tracy said, describing cardholder and program-administrator functionality, virtual-pay solutions, ad-hoc reporting and financial extracts. She showed the platform's fraud and event alerts and a data-analytics dashboard that highlights decline trends, delinquency and suspicious merchant activity.
Tracy also walked through APIs that can automate account setup and termination by connecting with a client's HR system, reducing manual work and lowering the risk of orphaned or active cards after employee separation. She demonstrated templates for shared accounts, temporary MCC or credit-limit changes, and an effective-dating feature that can automatically close and reopen accounts on scheduled dates.
US Bank recommended enrolling cardholders in text or email fraud alerts and using the real-time authorizations and decline reports for audit oversight. The bank also noted that some features (for example, data-analytics tiles and new transaction views) roll out on a customer-by-customer basis and may require account-enablement steps with relationship managers.
