The Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee met June 10, 2026, at the Veterans Memorial Building and approved a set of routine motions including a correction to the April 14 minutes, a field inspection of Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) Carpenter Canyon small‑game guzzlers, official recognition of PLAY, CLEAN, GO week and the date for the next meeting.
Member Frank Slaghuis said his attendance was missing from the April 14 attendance list; after the secretary corrected the record, Slaghuis moved to approve the minutes "with the above change." The motion was seconded by Mike Zaman and approved by the committee "yes by all." The committee recorded roll-call attendance earlier in the meeting as County Commissioner Strickland, Frank Slaghuis, Mike Zaman, Robert Adams, Jim Hannah and Amargosa Town Board Chair Carolyn Allen.
On the Carpenter Canyon site visit, Slaghuis moved that the committee meet June 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Fire Station on Carpenter Road to inspect small‑game guzzlers maintained by NDOW; Jim Hannah seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The committee also voted to acknowledge PLAY, CLEAN, GO week (June 7–14, 2026), following a motion by Jim Hannah and a second by Slaghuis.
Finally, Slaghuis moved to set the next committee meeting for July 14, 2026; the motion was seconded by Jim Hannah and approved unanimously. No public comments were offered during either public‑comment period, and the meeting adjourned at about 5:50 p.m.
