The Bond County Board approved a slate of routine items and event permits during its May 19 meeting in Greenville. Chairman Chris Timmermann opened the session at 4:00 p.m.; roll call showed a five-member quorum and the board approved the minutes of May 5, 2026 by a 5–0 roll call vote.
The board voted unanimously to accept the bills listed on the Edit Reports dated May 4, 2026, and to approve the County Clerk's April 2026 report. The Treasurer's March and April 2026 reports were reviewed by the board (attachments referenced). The board also approved the Sheriff's, Coroner's and Animal Control monthly reports for April 2026; each approval was recorded as a 5 ayes, 0 nays roll call vote.
In separate motions, the board approved a liquor license for The Greenville Country Club and granted requests to use the courthouse lawn for community events. Allan Davis' request to hold Fourth Fest on July 3–4, 2026 was approved; Toni Randall's request to use the lawn for National Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31, 2026 (4:00–8:00 p.m.) and Patti Brooks' request for the Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation Night of Remembrance on Sept. 12, 2026 (4:00–9:00 p.m.) were likewise approved. All event and license motions were passed by voice and confirmed by roll call (5 ayes, 0 nays).
The board set County Board members' salaries with no changes: board member pay remained $6,701 and the Board Chairman's salary remained $8,220. The meeting adjourned at 4:21 p.m. following a motion by Wes Pourchot and second by Bernard Myers, recorded 5–0.
