Peekskill appoints Sofia L. Trott as full-time city court judge

The Common Council on Nov. 5 passed a resolution appointing Sofia L. Trott, Esquire, to a full-time 10-year term as a judge of the Peekskill City Court.
"This common council desires to make such appointment for the statutory term of 10 years, and by this resolution appoints Sofia l. Trot, Esquire, as a full time judge for the Peekskill City Court," Councilwoman Talbot said during the motion to appoint. The council adopted the resolution unanimously after a minor clerical correction to the document's language.
Mayor McKenzie noted that Trott was in the audience and that her swearing-in ceremony will be held Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.
