Housing Commission warns wastewater capacity limits housing density; ADUs discussed

"Discussion on the challenges of increasing housing density and lot sizes in the village areas, especially as it relates to the wastewater capacity," the minutes record. The visitors and commissioners explored the possibility of increasing accessory dwelling units (ADUs) as a local housing strategy and emphasized the importance of continued coordination between the Housing Commission and Planning Commission.
Commission members asked Zoning Administrator Will Goodwin to gather additional information and follow up at a future meeting so the commissions can consider infrastructure needs alongside zoning changes.
