Facilities staff gave the board a retrospective of 2024 and a preview of 2025 capital activity, highlighting completed classroom renovations, HVAC and environmental work, and planned preventative roof and site projects.
"We basically did 13 buildings impacted, 18 projects last year using our capital action plan, and a little over $6,400,000 in cost for this project," Art told the board when summarizing last year's work. For summer 2025 he said, "5 buildings impacted, 11 projects, a little over $10,300,000 in cost for this year."
Key 2025 items listed for approval or planning include wet insulation and roof replacements, HVAC replacements at Setronia Elementary and other targeted HVAC work, Foglesville bus-loop repaving and fencing, Kratzer playground sunshades (PTA-funded), and various site drainage and sewer-tank remediation at Kearnsville. The district said some scope and dollar amounts are pending bids and will be incorporated into the capital plan as firm quotes become available.
