Peekskill to update master fee schedule; staff proposes using $2.4M in ARPA funds against revenue shortfalls

He noted that some fees governed by New York State or existing agreements (for example certain MTA-related parking rates) were not changed, and that the city tried to keep resident-facing fees low where possible (senior parking lot rates were left unchanged).
On American Rescue Plan spending, Tony reported the city received about $2,400,000 in ARPA funds and that, because the award was less than $10 million, the city can treat a portion as lost revenue and apply it to eligible expenses — for example overtime and police salaries — reporting the intent to include such accounting in a resolution next week.
Council members raised missing line items (Pickleball fees) and asked staff to consider disposal-fee incentives (tire disposal) to reduce illegal dumping. Staff said they would incorporate those items and return with the formal resolution.
