Ashley Litt said referrals are not required on any UMP plans: “No. Referrals are not required on any of the UMP plans.” She also reminded members that telemedicine visits are covered under all UMP plans and that Advise24 is available 24/7 to UMP Plus PSHVN members at no cost.
Litt explained coordination-of-benefits in examples: if a primary insurance pays $100 and UMP would have paid $100, UMP pays nothing; if the primary pays $80 and UMP would have paid $100, UMP pays $20. She noted that members should use the provider-search tools on the UMP or Regence websites to confirm network participation and potential cost shares.
