Board approves consent agenda, hires, tax levy, policies, FMLA leave and service agreement

On personnel, a motion by Julie Morey, seconded by Christy Carpenter, approved two pending hires contingent on licensure and background checks: Stephen Parker (Wrestling Coach) and Theresa Shenkel (Bus Driver). The board voted unanimously.
The board approved the 2024 tax levy (FY26) on a motion by Bobby Kaminski, seconded by Cherise Byone; the motion carried with all members voting aye.
Other actions: the board approved the second reading of Press Plus Policy 117 (moved by Julie Morey, seconded by Christy Carpenter), approved a request for FMLA leave for Lainey Hicks (moved by Christy Carpenter, seconded by Cherise Byone), approved a professional service agreement with American Institutes for Research (moved by Christy Carpenter, seconded by Cherise Byone), and approved a resolution in support of Illinois Vision 2030 (moved by Bobby Kaminski, seconded by Cherise Byone). All motions carried unanimously.
"A motion was made by Kaminski and seconded by Byone to approve the 2024 tax levy (FY26)," the record shows; the board's roll-call votes are recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned on a motion by Christy Carpenter, seconded by Cherise Byone.
