The Finance Committee’s FY26 budget review included a request from the Circuit Clerk for an additional full-time position. Committee members recorded the staffing request and asked the Circuit Clerk’s office to provide additional information and supporting details before the full board considers approval.
Separately, the Coroner’s office proposed changing existing part-time employees to contractual employees as part of its FY26 budget submission. The committee documented the proposal for follow-up; no hiring or contracting decisions were made at the Sept. 9 meeting.
