Committee advances small price increase to Terex aerial device purchase ordinance
Summary
Assistant Service Director Mike Testa told the committee the authorized purchase price for a Terex Optima TCX55-NOC aerial device should increase by $1,150 to $441,157 because a 2027 model is now available; the committee voted to forward the ordinance amendment to Council.

Assistant Service Director Mike Testa told the committee the Electric Department needs an amendment to Ordinance 25-121 to increase the authorized purchase amount for a Terex Optima TCX55-NOC aerial device. Testa said the request is driven by the vendor supplying a 2027 model instead of the 2026 model and that the price increase is $1,150. "This item was to amend the previously passed Ordinance 25-121 due to a small price increase of $1,150.00 because of the availability of a new 2027 model instead of a 2026 model," Testa said.
Council Member Chris Maxwell moved the legislation to Council; Council Member Zach Berger seconded. Testa confirmed the cost remained within budget and the committee carried the motion to move the ordinance forward.
