City engineer: Airport bulk-fill station testing, Dawna Drive water main to start this summer

City Engineer Glenn Davis told the Wadsworth Public Service Committee on May 12 that the new bulk water fill station on Airport Road is nearly ready. "The station was up and running now in testing mode at the moment, and probably would be operational by next month," Davis said, adding the project is "virtually done."
Dawna Drive was identified as the next major water-main project. Davis said the bid package for Dawna Drive is expected within about two months and that construction would begin late summer with the aim to finish this year. He also said the Airport Water Looping Project — which would run from the Airport across SR 57 to a connection point — is scheduled to begin about the same time as Dawna Drive. The committee asked timeline and completion questions and had no objections to moving forward.
