Board adopts VDOT Secondary Six Year Plan; resident asks to add Crowder Road

The Board of Supervisors voted to approve VDOT’s Secondary Six Year Plan as presented at the June 9 meeting. Assistant Residency Administrator Brian Lokker delivered the overview of the plan and construction schedule items. Resident Norma Patteson used the public hearing to request that Crowder Road be added to the plan; with no other citizens signed up the chairman closed the hearing before a motion to approve.
The VDOT report in the meeting packet included FY26 routine maintenance numbers and listed construction projects under UPC 127078 (PM3C26) with a notice to proceed of Aug. 17, 2026 and a fixed completion date of Nov. 20, 2026 for specified segments. The board approved the plan on a motion by Supervisor Saunders, seconded by Supervisor Stimpson.
