Whitman County staff reported several ongoing personal and family health efforts. The ABCD (Access to Baby and Child Dentistry) Smile Mobile is parked at the Pro-Mall in Pullman for a two-week run; staff said they hope to add an additional location next year. WIC employee training is underway, with one training session scheduled to complete in June.
Staff also reported continued HARM Narcan distribution across the county and steady use of the needle exchange program. Safe Kids life-jacket racks are stocked countywide; storm-driven losses at Boyer prompted moving that rack's jackets to Wawawai and replacing the Boyer rack with a cabinet. The minutes record staff will transfer the Wawawai rack and a year's worth of jackets to Asotin County.
