Commissioners appointed County Engineer Ken Muller to act as the viewer for a petition to vacate a portion of the alley between Lots 14 in Block 3 and Block 4, Town of Lodore, and the north half of the alley south of Lot 13 Block 3. Commissioner Holly Jennings moved to appoint Muller; the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Nick Siddle questioned whether Lodore is properly characterized as a town, describing it as a small area near Story. County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson responded that the designation is a legal description and standard for property records: "the designation is based on the official legal description," she said. The appointment authorizes Muller to perform the statutory viewer duties associated with property vacating proceedings.
