The Brewer Culture & Arts Committee approved on June 22 a timeline for a Halloween House Decorating Contest. Tammy will draft the application and contest rules, and Ashlie will produce a QR code to allow voting. Homeowners may submit a photo with their application and may name their house (for example, 'The Pumpkin House' or by family name).
Marissa Worster moved to open registration on Oct. 1 and close on Oct. 16, with voting beginning on Oct. 16; Ann Colson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The committee discussed voting platforms (Facebook or QR-code-based voting) and said further details would be determined as the application is finalized.
