Brewer committee approves monthly 'Sundaes in the Park'; next event set for July 26

The Brewer Culture & Arts Committee voted on June 22 to hold 'Sundaes in the Park' monthly after reporting that the June 14 event in the Children’s Garden was successful. Chair Marissa Worster moved to make the event recurring; Ann Colson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Committee members said the June event was staffed by Marissa and Ann with assistance from Steve Wong, and they plan minor changes—flyers, signage and table placement—for future dates. The committee set the next event for July 26 from 1–3 p.m. at the Auditorium Playground and listed volunteers for that date: Ann Colson, Steve Wong, Marissa Worster and Amanda Ouellete-Clark. Jen Morin, the city council liaison, reminded the group that any need for electricity or water in park locations requires approval through the Park & Rec Department.
