Quay County joins EPCOG for FY2025-26; commissioners approve participation resolution

The board unanimously approved Resolution 7 to continue Quay County's participation in the Eastern Plains Council of Governments for fiscal year 2025–26.
The agreement affirms county participation in regional planning, transportation and grant-support services and confirms the county's designated representative on the EPCOG board. The EPCOG paperwork attached to the minutes listed annual membership dues of $2,216 for Quay County; the resolution and agreement were authorized on a motion by Commissioner Brian Fortner and second by Commissioner Dallas Dowell.
County Manager Daniel Zamora said the region-wide organization will continue to provide planning and grant coordination services for transportation and economic-development projects; the action was procedural and carried without objection.
