Harvey County reports May sales tax collections up 11.37% month-to-date

Finance staff reported May sales and compensating use tax collections rose notably in the month-to-date comparison. Assistant County Administrator/Finance Director Shannon Kingsley said May collections were up about 11.37% month-to-date and the county’s year-to-date collections were up about 2.82% compared with the same period last year; the report lists the year-to-date total as $1,325,821.84.
Kingsley presented tables showing monthly and quarterly collections and percent changes. The report will inform ongoing budget and revenue planning as the commission works through fiscal-year scheduling and the upcoming budget work sessions.
