Quay County commissioners approved two intergovernmental agreements with the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) on Sept. 22 to improve district-court facilities in the county courthouse.
The first agreement funds construction of interior walls in the court clerk's office to create three interior offices; the second funds renovation of second-floor bathrooms for ADA compliance. Each project carries an estimated cost of $30,000 and the County committed a 50% match — $15,000 — while the AOC will provide the remaining 50% per the IGAs attached to the meeting minutes.
County Manager Daniel Zamora presented the agreements and the board voted unanimously to approve them. The IGAs require contractor procurement under state procurement rules, submission of invoices and documentation for reimbursement, and compliance with the scope and reporting requirements in each agreement. Work timetables and contractor awards will be presented to the commission for approval after the county's procurement process is complete.
