The Union County Board of County Commissioners on July 30 moved Ordinance number 867-2026 for a first reading to amend the county administrative code and policies regarding the County option hospital fee program. Vice Chair Williams moved the ordinance for first reading and asked the clerk to advertise the measure in accordance with law; the clerk announced eight votes in the affirmative for the first reading.
The ordinance was described on the record by title as an amendment to part 2 (policies and general legislation), chapter 41, relating to the option hospital fee program. "I move ordinance number 8 6 7 dash 2 0 26 for 1st reading and authorize the clerk of the board to advertise same in accordance with the law," the mover said on the record. The board took no final adoption action at the meeting; the ordinance will return for subsequent consideration following the required public-notice procedures.
