Principal: students recognized at breakfast, assembly spotlights African history; benchmarking and events underway

Collins also summarized that Yorkville Middle and High School Stepping Foxes performed an assembly for grades 4–8 with a focus on African history for Black History Month and invited students to learn basic steps.
Collins said spring benchmarking is concluding and data-team meetings with teachers are scheduled next week. He also reported a State Chess Tournament at the end of next week, and a 7th/8th grade volleyball conference shootout scheduled for Saturday at MES. The principal flagged the STEAM Gala preparation for 6th grade and a 3rd-grade field trip to Dayton Bluffs as upcoming student activities.
