Treasurer reports $2.13M operating balance, revenue running ahead of budget

Treasurer Craig Hepner reported that the district's operating account balance was $2.13 million as of Feb. 28, a decrease of about $329,000 from Jan. 31. He said receipts for February totaled $388,000, which included $282,000 in general state aid and a little over $38,000 in investment income; expenditures for the month were $683,000.
Hepner noted the district's CD investment portfolio yield was 4.074% as of Feb. 28, about eight basis points lower than the Jan. 31 yield. The board approved the treasurer's report as part of the consent agenda by unanimous vote.
