Council approves $345,087.50 pay application for Main Lift Station project and $4,380 testing invoice

The Long Prairie City Council approved two construction-related payments during the May 14 meeting. Mayor Jim Kreemer moved to approve Pay Application No. 4 for the Main Lift Station Improvement Project in the amount of $345,087.50 to C&L Excavating; the motion was seconded by Council member Clint Krueger and approved unanimously.
Separately, the council approved an invoice from Braun Intertec for construction testing services in the amount of $4,380 on a motion by Council member Krueger seconded by Council member Gripne. The engineer’s report earlier in the meeting noted that the lift station structures and piping are largely installed and that electrical work remains, supporting the project payments recorded in the meeting.
