Captain Jeffrey Shanks said the agreement covers deputy salary, benefits, overtime, vehicle fuel and maintenance and estimated the budget impact at $134,722. He told commissioners the county counselor and auditor had reviewed the contract and that funding was available or otherwise accounted for.
Commissioner (speaker S3) moved to approve item 2026CO113; the motion was seconded and carried by roll call 2'0to'0. Auditor Kevin Robinson confirmed the final signed document contained corrected dates.
The memorandum continues the county's participation in a multi-jurisdictional enforcement effort and will require the sheriff's office to budget for the local costs noted above.
