Council OKs two one-day liquor licenses for July 26 Latino Festival; one member abstains on second license

The Long Prairie City Council approved two one-day temporary liquor licenses for vendors at the Latino Festival scheduled July 26, 2025. Council Member Clint Krueger moved to approve a license for Mi Pueblito Market with a specified licensed area, barricades, ID checks and wristbands; the motion passed unanimously.
A second motion to approve a license for Viva Bar LLC passed on a roll call vote with Mayor Jim Kreemer, Council Members Lilah Gripne, JoAnn Schroeder and Clint Krueger voting YES and Council Member Gabrier Perez abstaining. Council said licenses would include a map of the licensed-sales area, physical barricades, age verification and wristband controls.
