The Long Prairie City Council voted unanimously June 25 to sell three lots and an outlot in the SW Industrial Park to Enterprise-CP, LLC for a total purchase price of $120,000. Resolution No. 25-6-25-19 authorizes the sale and directs that seller and buyer pay their respective closing costs.
Mayor Jim Kreemer presented the resolution and said the purchase agreement allows Enterprise-CP, LLC to begin construction after final engineering and permitting. Council members were told Outlot A is restricted as donated wetland area and may be used only for setbacks, not building pads. The council noted the sale is authorized under Minn. Stat. Section 412.211.
Council Member Lilah Gripne moved to approve the resolution; Mayor Kreemer seconded and the motion carried unanimously. City Administrator Candace Bruder signed the certification language for closing when documents are complete. The council was told engineers'final designs and building permits are expected before construction, likely in August.
