Carrus Lakeside staff voice worry about jobs as trustees weigh operator options

During public comment at the Oct. 8 special meeting, Carrus Lakeside Hospital therapist Megan Blakeman said it was "good to hear that they are here for Bristow and are thinking of all the employees," adding that "They are all worried about their job, and it has been very emotional." Manager Jill Atchley said employees would be "very excited to hear there is a LOI and know what they will be expecting for the next 6-months."
A Saint Francis representative, Collin Henry, told employees: "they must have employees, or they can't deliver health care," and said Saint Francis would work with staff. Trustees reiterated that employee impacts were central to their deliberations; Trustee Joe Church said employees and families have been the first question throughout the process.
