Ford County committee approves EMA coordinator job description and authorizes hiring

Committee member Randy Ferguson moved and Carson Vaughn seconded a motion to approve a job description for a Ford County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) coordinator; the committee approved the motion by unanimous voice vote.
Chairman Chase McCall said the move fills a gap in county staffing: "this will be the EMA coordinatorjob description that will be adopted by Ford County as there was no previous description. This job description was created according to state statute." During a subsequent motion to post the position for hire, McCall said the position "will be open until filled, terms will be negotiable, and EMA will have a set budget, applications are to be mailed, and questions can be directed to Chairman McCall via email." That posting motion also passed on a unanimous voice vote.
