Board ranks candidates, recommends Lee Asanera and James Ritchie to Select Board

The Dartmouth Board of Public Works moved to forward ranked recommendations to the Select Board for two open seats, naming Lee Asanera as its first choice and James Ritchie as its second. A motion to recommend the two in that order was made, seconded and approved by the board; one member said they would abstain on ranking a candidate they had not interviewed.
"I would make the motion that we recommend, Lee Asanara, Jim Ritchie," a board member said during deliberations. Another member seconded the motion and the board recorded affirmative votes and one abstention on a later, separate motion to include a third ranked candidate.
Tim, the town staff member, agreed to prepare a memo with the board's rankings and to provide the Select Board with the ranked list and supplementary materials. The board then voted to adjourn.
