"I'm Bob Kessel, and I'm seeking reappointment to the 9 Mile Creek Watershed District Board of Governors," said Bob Kessel, who outlined six years on the board including terms as treasurer and president, described permitting streamlining and use of metrics to evaluate project cost-effectiveness, and advocated creation of a districtwide flood-management plan to address climate-driven flood risk in an almost-fully developed district.
Brian Kirk, also applying, described years of volunteer and design experience and said he would prioritize water quality, stormwater management and environmental sustainability if appointed. Kirk noted service on Minnetonka's Planning Commission and other regional advisory groups.
The committee did not make appointment decisions on the recorded interviews during this meeting; the applicants were presented for consideration as part of the open-appointments agenda item.
