Residents raised neighborhood quality-of-life concerns during public comment, citing louder and more frequent early-morning flights and long-standing water leaks.
Celia Aguilar, an Ontario resident of 42 years, told the council that planes now appear rerouted over neighborhood homes, sometimes producing up to 15 planes an hour at 6 to 7 a.m., and asked whether there had been a change in routing. "We've noticed a whole bunch of planes coming over our houses," Aguilar said, and requested staff follow up. She also reported a continuing water leak near the Eastvale Costco/Milliken and Ontario Ranch area and standing runoff near Colony High School and asked the city to investigate and identify exact locations.
Mayor Leon asked staff to get specific spot details from Aguilar to investigate whether the leaks are inside city limits or fall under neighboring jurisdictions. The city clerk and staff said they would follow up and attempt to clarify jurisdictional responsibility where the leak is located. No immediate action on aircraft routing was available at the meeting; residents were advised to pursue specific airport/ARC channels for routing questions.
