County administrator reports Core Blue shelter closed; legal-support grant near release and Human Rights manager position posted

Coompi said county administration is finalizing the release of approximately $50,000 allocated to legal support services and expects the application process to conclude soon. She said the legal-support request is an open application and not dedicated to a single agency; any qualified provider may apply.
On the Human Rights Office, Coompi said the county posted a Human Rights Office manager position with applications closing May 24; as of the report there were 10 qualified applicants. She noted the existing Human Rights Office phone line remains active and county administration is responding to calls while the office's staffing situation is resolved.
The administrator also noted the county continues to coordinate with state agencies and local partners on housing and health-related issues and expects to provide further updates to the legislature at future meetings.
