Department staff Brailey Gonsalves told the panel the application is a renewal and that the property is an approved three‑bedroom short‑term rental. Commissioner Nikki Alboro asked whether the unit may be advertised as two bedrooms; Gonsalves clarified the permit authorizes three bedrooms and the owner may, at their discretion, list fewer. “The approval is the same permitted permit of three‑bedrooms,” Gonsalves said during the hearing.
No members of the public signed up to testify. Commissioner Erin Atacador moved to recommend approval and Commissioner Lisa Grove seconded. The Commission approved the time‑extension by a show‑of‑hands vote (assenting: N. Alboro, E. Atacador, M. Fujie‑Kaauamo, E. Grove, S. Rabaca; excused: N. Manna). The department will process the extension subject to the conditions listed in the Planning Department staff report.
