Dwayne Roux, chairperson of the Harvey County Conservation District, presented the district’s 2026 appropriation request to the County Commission and described last year’s activities and plans for expanded outreach.
The district asked for $25,000 — the same amount it received in 2025 — and noted that state funding to the district will increase to twice the county award amount; the additional funding will be used to expand education and outreach efforts.
The commissioners recorded the request; no action was taken at the May 29 session.
