Board affirms agreement with Minneapolis Regional Chamber for Elevate Hennepin work, up to $325,000

A county staff presenter described Elevate Hennepin as a county-owned program that supports small businesses and said the county had been negotiating with the chamber since 2022 to resolve services rendered in 2022. "What this resolution seeks is approval and affirmation for administration continue and resolve any contract language, get it back to the sheriff for signature and the control order to disperse the 325,000 contemplated here for those services in acknowledgment, of, the intellectual property that Hennepin owns," the presenter said.
The board adopted the item by voice vote. Staff said the county brought technology and platform management for the program in-house in 2023 and intends to maintain ongoing relationships with the chamber for business and workforce development services.
