Select Board signs state primary warrant and moves Precinct 9 to DYSA Field House

Select Board members approved the state-primary warrant (voting hours 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 1), authorized the slate of election workers for the primary, state and annual town elections, and confirmed a precinct location change for Precinct 9.
Elections staff said Precinct 9 will vote at the DYSA Field House on Russell’s Mills Road (the facility has separate parking) and that postcards have been mailed to every household with voters in Precinct 9. Staff warned voters about the statewide vote-by-mail postcard process: voters who received a postcard must return it by Aug. 25 to request a mail ballot for the primary; party or registration changes must be submitted by Aug. 22. "If you don't send this in for September, the state's going to send you another postcard in October offering you a vote by mail ballot for November," staff said.
The board approved the roster of election workers and signed the warrant so it can be posted and published.
