Board approves a series of immediate-approval contracts for infrastructure and facilities work

County staff described the retaining wall replacement contract to Sunram Construction Inc. for Town Line Road in Minnetonka and Eden Prairie with a county cost of $549,637, noting funding is available in the Safety and Asset Management budget line. "This request is to award a contract to Sunram Construction," a county bridge engineer said during the presentation.
Separately, the board approved a contract to Shaw and Lundquist Associates Inc. for the DOCCR relocate project — part of stacking work in the government center to make way for a family justice center — costing just over $1,300,000. County staff said the vendor was selected via a competitive process.
The board also approved a roughly $2,300,000 contract to Nor Companies to replace automatic transfer switches at the public safety facility; staff said the existing switches were installed around 2001 and were nearing end of life. The new equipment will allow testing without major disruption and improve reliability for critical systems.
