The Amelia Garden Club presented a proposal on March 25 to install a Little Free Library in Amelia County and asked the Board for guidance on siting. The Garden Club said it would cover material costs, assemble the library and register it with a name tag; Parks & Recreation was suggested as a potential placement area.
Supervisors discussed possible locations (the sheriff’s office corner, firehouses, or local businesses) and unanimously approved a motion to support the Little Free Library. Board members directed the Garden Club to work with Daryl Gough and County Administrator Eric S. Pollitt on final siting and installation.
The Garden Club’s plan does not request construction funds; its ask was limited to staff assistance identifying an appropriate location and permitting considerations.
