"This is a new 9 month program, designed to build strong relationships and open communication and trust, between the school district and our community," Barker said. He noted organizers expect a cohort of about 15–20 participants, that applications are open through mid‑August, and that the first cohort will begin meeting in mid‑ to late‑September. Barker asked board members and community members to encourage interested people to apply.
