Superintendent (S2) told the board the plan will guide work across instruction, curriculum, safety and leadership development and recommended a strategic‑planning workshop with Gallagher in late October to produce a five‑year roadmap.
"We will begin a strategic plan with Gallagher," Superintendent (S2) said, asking the board to pick a workshop date in October. The presentation described regular progress monitoring at quarterly intervals, involvement of a superintendent advisory committee of elected student representatives and action steps for administrators, counselors and teachers to meet performance objectives.
Board members moved and seconded the motion to approve the plan; the board recorded the motion and responded with a voice vote. The superintendent said the district will use the plan and a demographic study to guide future facility decisions and ensure class sizes and program offerings match community needs.
The board also set a timeline for outreach: surveys to parents, teachers and students will accompany the strategic‑planning process, with the goal of adopting a final five‑year plan by April. Next procedural steps called for scheduling the three‑hour workshop and convening the superintendent advisory committee monthly beginning in October.
