Board adopts ordinance to rescind previously enjoined land-development rule

The Story County Board of Supervisors on March 10 approved Second Consideration of Ordinance No. 329, a text amendment to rescind Ordinance No. 311 from the county land development regulations. Planning and Development Director Leanne Harter told the Board that Story County is subject to a permanent court injunction preventing enforcement of Ordinance No. 311, and staff recommended adoption of the rescission and waiving a third consideration.
Chair Linda Murken opened the public hearing at 10:03 a.m. and, hearing no public comment, closed it the same minute. By roll call vote the Board approved Second Consideration of Ordinance No. 329 and waived third and final consideration; the action was recorded as motion carried unanimously among those present.
