She said the New York State Donate Life Registry has grown substantially and urged further enrollment, calling for "750,000 to support this vital program." Tapia said she will introduce a bill that would allow New Yorkers to register as organ donors when filing their personal income taxes.
Members adopted the Kidney Disease Awareness Month resolution by voice vote.
