WestCOG staff briefed members on LOTCIP solicitation, legal notice assessment, POCD climate provisions and other items

Multiple information items were presented by WestCOG staff during the July 16 meeting. Kevin Mahoney updated members on the 2026 draft LOTCIP project solicitation; Princeton intern Kameil Crane presented a municipal legal notice assessment; and Mike Towle provided overviews on POCD climate provisions, regional local fire protection plan compliance assistance, a housing update, and an urban forestry peer exchange. There was no formal vote on these items; they were recorded as informational items (SEG 012).
Executive Director Francis Pickering asked leaders interested in serving on the legislative committee to contact Cricket Carpenter via the email provided in the minutes. WestCOG also introduced new planner Harrison Lewis to the membership. The interim minutes do not expand these informational items with project-level figures or implementation timelines; follow-up with staff is recommended for specifics.
