The Western Connecticut Council of Governments on June 18 directed Executive Director Francis Pickering to submit a letter authorizing a supplemental LOTCIP grant of up to $3,060,000 for a Ridgefield adjustment. The motion was made by Bethel First Selectman Dan Carter and seconded by New Fairfield First Selectman Pat Del Monaco; Wilton Selectman Ross Tartell recorded an abstention.
WestCOG Senior Project Manager Kevin Mahoney introduced the LOTCIP adjustment and Ridgefield Director of Public Works Jake Muller offered commentary on the local scope. The Council’s direction authorizes WestCOG to proceed with the supplemental grant request to align the project with the previously approved funding amount. The decision was recorded during the combined WestCOG session and is effective as the Council requested submission of the authorization letter to the relevant program administrators.
