The Ford County Board approved multiple motions during its June 8 meeting. Mr. Kerber moved to adopt Resolution 26‑34 approving the job description for the Ford County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Coordinator; Mrs. Mussman seconded and the resolution carried by voice vote. Kerber also moved to post the EMA coordinator position for hire and that motion likewise carried by voice vote.
The board adopted Ordinance No. 26‑33 (motion by Mr. Ferguson, seconded by Mr. Nuss) and adopted Resolution 25‑35 reappointing Jonathan Powers to the Ford County Board of Review (motion by Mrs. King, seconded by Mrs. Ihrke). In Insurance & Personnel business, Mr. Kerber made a motion to approve United Healthcare as the county's health insurance provider while retaining Dearborn for vision coverage for the policy period July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027; Mr. McQuinn seconded. Several committee claims and petitions for aid (Drummer, Pella and Dix townships) were also approved; some votes were recorded by roll call with results noted in the minutes.
