LUPEC update: Fontaine Avenue projects require cross-jurisdiction coordination, committee says

She cited Fontaine Avenue as a concrete example where multiple projects (University research park entry, parking garage, Central Energy Plant, RWSA 36-inch raw water line, and a housing initiative) were on overlapping timelines and required interagency communication to avoid conflicts.
Rauscher said LUPEC's quarterly in-person meetings and the inclusion of regular regional guests have improved technical conversation and outcomes. She invited questions and emphasized that meeting minutes and agendas are posted publicly by TJPDC, and LUPEC submits a biannual report to the city council, board of supervisors and UVA leadership.
